Daily Brief

Pro Feature

The daily brief is available to servers with Pro.

The daily brief is a morning market summary that ProfitGreen posts to one channel in your server at 8:30 AM Eastern on every trading day. Weekends and market holidays are skipped. Each brief is a single message with three sections:

  • Fear & Greed – The current crypto Fear & Greed Index gauge.
  • Heat Map – A heat map of your chosen index showing each company's move in the previous session. Choose from the S&P 500, Nasdaq 100, Dow Jones Industrial Average, Russell 2000, or All Crypto.
  • Headlines & Tickers – The top ten market headlines from the last 24 hours, followed by a table of your watchlist's open, close, and change for the previous session.

Setting it up

Run /streams daily_brief set in the channel where you want the brief to post. That's it: the brief is created right away with the S&P 500 heat map and a starter watchlist of AAPL, NVDA, and GOOGL. The reply shows the current configuration along with controls to change it:

  • Channel – Pick a different channel. ProfitGreen checks that it can send messages, embed links, and attach files there before saving.
  • Heat map index – Pick which index the heat map shows.
  • Edit Tickers – Opens a box where you can enter up to 5 tickers, separated by commas or spaces. Every ticker is checked before it's saved.
  • Send Test – Sends a sample brief that only you can see so you can preview it without waiting for the morning.

Run /streams daily_brief set again at any time to reopen the controls. Only the person who ran the command can use them, and they expire after 10 minutes.

Timing

If you set up the brief on a trading day between 8:30 AM and 4:00 PM Eastern, the first one is posted within a minute. Set up outside that window and the first brief arrives the next trading morning. Use Send Test to preview it either way.
